Our team is comprised of experienced affordable housing development professionals selected by NYCHA and the Frederick Samuel Resident Leaders to renovate and preserve the Frederick Samuel Apartments. When completed this project will bring significant upgrades and repairs to the 42 buildings and 664 units within the Frederick Samuels portfolio, as well as enhanced social services and property management for the residents. 

Lemor and its predecessor and affiliate entities have been in business since the 1980’s and have rehabilitated and managed hundreds of affordable housing units in Harlem through HPD’s Neighborhood Entrepreneurship Program and Third-Party Transfer program. In November 2020, Lemor – in collaboration with other members of the PACT Renaissance Collaborative(PRC) – closed on a deal with NYCHA to provide more than $271,000,000 in renovations to 1,718

Genesis was founded in 2004 and has established a reputation as one of the leading MBE affordable housing developers in the New York area, with a portfolio of 115 buildings and more than 2100 units completed or in development in New York and New Jersey. Genesis has been engaged in the preservation of over 880 units with development costs totaling over $183,000,000. Many of these transactions were extremely complicated rehab projects with significant physical, financial and other complexities similar in scope and scale to the Frederick Samuel Apartments.
